The course is made up of 8 National Units and a practical placement. Students must have a placement of one day per week in a primary or secondary school.
Modules studied include: Child Development; Supporting Behaviour; Providing Learning Support for Children with Additional Needs; Work experience in a Primary or Secondary School or in an Additional Support Needs (ASN) setting.
Applicants must have a mature attitude and willingness to learn, the ability to work as part of a team and be committed to study at Higher level.
