This course has been designed to offer you a practical, hands-on experience which covers basic skills in all theatre production areas from stage management, props, and lighting and sound, to set and costume design and construction.
You will have the opportunity to work as an assistant on public performances in our purpose-built studio theatre which develops a deeper understanding of production terminology and state of the art equipment.
You will study: Technical theatre in context; Stage lighting operations; Stage sound operations; Production operations; Stage management operations; Workshop skills; Theatre wardrobe services; Prop making; Theatrical design; Model set construction; Production work; The Core Skills of ICT, numeracy and communication will be developed and certificated on this course.
4 subjects at National 5 including English and Maths. You must attend for interview and bring a portfolio.
