Our NQ Advanced Sports Coaching and Development (Level 6) course is designed to ensure you have the essential knowledge and capabilities for a successful start in the dynamic field of sports coaching. It also provides a transition for those planning to pursue the HND Sports Coaching and Developing Sports course starting in August 2025.

Throughout your studies, you will gain various recognised National Governing Body awards with specific sports. You will also develop your sports coaching skills while acquiring insights and comprehension in the field of sports development.

NQ Advanced Sports Coaching with Development (Level 6) consists of SQA Level 6 units, National Governing Body Awards and college devised subjects. These all cover a range of practical and theoretical Sports?Coaching?as well?as Sport Development?related units

Entry Requirements

3 relevant subjects at National 5 including English, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
