The aim of this course is to provide students with an introduction to the subject area and develop the skills and ability, both academically and socially, to successfully progress to the next level within The Department of Lanarkshire Institute of Science and Technology. Students will explore environmental science topics alongside developing young STEM leadership skills. Students will benefit from the wraparound support offered by the Department of Access and Progression in relation to confidence building and enhanced core skills.

On this course, you will cover a range of topics including:

Young STEM Leader; Environmental Science – Living Environment; Environmental Science – Sustainability; Science: Practical Science; REHIS Emergency First Aid; REHIS Health and Safety; STEM based Core skills; Sustainable Enterprise activity; Personal Development.

No formal entry requirements, however students should show an interest in progression routes within the curriculum area.
