As with the Level 5 Course, this course provides an overview of the hospitality industry with a focus on key soft and transferable skills common to all customer-facing roles. However, this Level 6 programme allows a degree of technical specialism in front of house and Events.

The course develops knowledge and skills, whilst providing a platform for learners to either progress to further study at HNC Level or pursue employment opportunities.

Hospitality industry; Food hygiene for the hospitality industry; Customer care excellence in hospitality; Leading a hospitality team; Food and beverage operations; Work placement; Alcoholic beverages; Food service styles; Event organisation; Corporate events: an introduction.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including English, or NC Hospitality Operations (Level 5), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5.
