Barony Campus
The rapidly evolving agricultural technology industry requires technicians who can maintain complex sensor systems and ensure that these are accurate and reliable.
Precise sensor systems, which generate data flows through a farm, can improve the efficiency of the agricultural industry and the farming process. New technical developments and expert technicians can help farms to produce more with less, by allocating resources precisely where they are needed for crop and animal. Such progress can improve profitability and, at the same time, reduce the industry’s carbon footprint and feed a growing world population.
Example modules include:
Chemistry and physics for agricultural technology; Computing applications for agriculture; Mechatronics and robotics for agriculture; Introduction to agriculture; Renewable energy systems; Principles of agricultural mechanisation.
2 Highers at CC including Biology, Chemistry or Environmental Science plus English and Maths at National 5.
