Content

The NQ Spa Therapist with Complementary Therapies course aims to develop the necessary practical and theoretical skills to provide complementary therapy treatments.

In recent years, the integration of complementary therapies into conventional healthcare has increased considerably; this is expected to continue, providing employment opportunities to meet the demand from those seeking alternative ways to reduce stress and enhance feelings of general well-being.

This NQ Spa Therapist with Complementary Therapies course focuses on holistic and complementary therapies. You will learn a wide range of techniques including facial and body massage, reiki, scalp, neck and head massage and Thai foot massage.

The course also covers general wellbeing which is explored through healthy eating, stress management techniques, anatomy and physiology.

Throughout the course, you will practice specific therapies in a supervised setting while learning about developing client relationships, individualised treatment design and ethical and professional standards. You will also be able to gain commercial experience throughout the year.

Successfully completing this course will provide the qualification you need for professional membership and insurance to practice complementary therapies.
