Working with adults in health and social care settings provides a rewarding career path. This programme is aimed at those already working in a care environment. It includes a Scottish Vocational Qualification at Level 2 in Social Services and Healthcare, providing the qualification necessary for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
It will provide students with the knowledge and competencies required in health and social care sectors, by developing core and essential skills, as well as the specific vocational competencies needed in the workplace.
Contents Include:
Develop your own knowledge and practice; Support effective communication; Health and safety; Support the safeguarding of individuals; Psychology; Sociology; Mental health; Communication; Numeracy; Information and communication technology; Work placement
3 subjects at National 4 including Maths and English or successful completion of the Passport to Learning at Level 4. Applicants must be employed in the care environment. Interview.
