Working with adults in health and social care settings provides a rewarding career path. This programme is aimed at those already employed in a care environment. It includes a Scottish Vocational Qualification at Level 3, providing the qualification necessary for registration with The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Contents Include:
Health and social care; Promote effective communication with, for and about individuals; Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the working environment; Reflect on and develop your practice; Promote choice, wellbeing and the protection of all individuals; Communication
Numeracy; Information and communication technology; Care values; Protection and safeguarding
Four subjects at National 5, including English or SVQ Health and Social Care (Level 6), or relevant NC at SCQF Level 5. Must be working in a suitable health or social care setting for a minimum of 16 hours per week. Interview.
