ESOL Gateway to Trades is a part-time course designed for non-native speakers of English aged between 16 and 23 years old who are interested in a career in construction and routes to apprenticeships.

On the programme you will learn essential skills to work in construction while enhancing your English and preparing to work.

Please note: this is not an ESOL programme

During this ESOL Gateway to Trades course you will study:

SQA Level 4 / 5: Employability units
SQA Level 4 / 5: Personal development units
You will work towards SQA construction units
Painting and Decorating
Woodwork

Entry Requirements

Relevant ESOL qualification. Interview.
