Health and safety in building services engineering; Scientific Principles within RAC and Heat Pump HP Systems; Apply scientific principles to practical vapour compression systems; Functions and features of RAC and HP systems; Service and maintain RAC and HP systems; Install and commission RAC and HP systems; Electrical systems for RAC and HP systems; Handling fluorinated gases and ozone-depleting substances Category I Personnel (F-Gas City and Guilds 2079); Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering.
No formal entry requirements. Entry is subject to aptitude test.
Successful completion of this programme will enhance the learner’s opportunities to gain employment as a Modern Apprentice Refrigeration or Air Conditioning engineer.
