This course will address the business needs for multi-skilled individuals, possessing the IT, business, and inter-personal skills required for the changing world in the digital economy.

This is a hybrid qualification which provides the essential and highly sought after mix of technology and business skills that enables individuals to obtain employment in a diverse range of IT/business areas within the public and private sector; or to progress to further academic and professional qualifications before embarking on a career in the digital economy.

Year 1 modules: Business process management: introduction; Communication: business communication; Cyber resilience; Professionalism and ethics in computing; Project management methodologies: introduction; Big data; Functional areas of business; Technologies in business: graded unit 1 (exam); Plus additional optional units.

Year 2: Business culture and strategy; Business process management; Relational database management systems; Technologies in business: graded unit 2 (project); Plus additional optional units.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher plus 4 subjects at National 5; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
