Advanced Nursing Practice - Leadership

This programme is aimed at registered nurses and midwives, with experience in acute or primary care settings, who wish to build on their experience and transfer their learning in order to develop the higher level of knowledge and skills required for specialist and advanced practice.

Leadership: is open to those who will be working at an advanced level in leadership roles who are required to lead and advance practice within the policy context of health and social care. It has some flexibility with option modules and, depending on your choice of option modules, attendance at University may not be compulsory.

You can exit after Stage 2 with PgDip Advanced Nursing Practice - Leadership

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirement for this programme will normally be an honours degree or its equivalent. In addition, because of the work based nature of the programme, all students must be working in clinical practice or sponsored by a Health Board and have access to a practice teacher/ practice facilitator.

You must be a registered nurse or midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, or the equivalent for international students. This is the only route available to international students due to the non-attendance requirement and NMC registration and requirements.
