The course will be broken down into 3 modules plus 2 revision days with an exam at the end of the training block.

GC2: 5, 6, 12, 13 and 17 November
Revision (NGC1, 2 & 3): 3, 4 and 7 December

3. Health and safety management systems – do
4. Health and safety management systems – check
5. Health and safety management systems – act
Unit GC2: Controlling workplace hazards
1. Workplace hazards and risk control
2. Transport hazards and risk control
3. Musculoskeletal hazards and risk control
4. Work equipment hazards and risk control
5. Electrical safety
6. Fire safety
7. Chemical and biological health hazards and risk control
8. Physical and psychological health hazards and risk control
Unit GC3: Health and safety practical application
Holders of NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety are entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). The qualification also meets the academic requirements for Technical membership (Tech IOSH) of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH - www.iosh.co.uk) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM - www.iirsm.org).
