Cumbernauld Campus
This course is run in partnership with Strathclyde University and is for those who are enthusiastic about working as part of a team to support the delivery of integrated Education and Social Services.
Three days each week in college will give you the opportunity to undertake a range of subjects with the focus being on learning about these integrated services and the skills necessary to undertake professional roles. After successfully completing the course, students will be awarded the Diploma of Higher Education in Education and Social Services.
You will also have the opportunity to look at personal development planning and the role it plays in your learning.
There will be a four week placement as part of the course to observe how services are moving towards integrated provision.
One year of the programme will be undertaken at New College Lanarkshire with completion of the degree over 2 years at the University of Strathclyde.
HNC Childhood Practice or HNC Social Services or other relevant HNC qualification.
You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
