This course develops a range of skills and qualities essential for a career in health care. Students will attend college and a work placement in a care setting. The HNC Care and Administrative Practice prepares students for progression to university or progression directly to employment within the health sector.
Course includes: Safe Working Practices for Care; Essential Skills for Care Practice; Therapeutic Relationships; Sociology for Care; Individual Pathways for Health and Social Care; Physiology for Care Professionals.
2 Highers including English plus National 5 Maths, or Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services and Healthcare plus Higher English or another English based subject, or Pathway to Healthcare, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview. Occupational health check.
