If you’d like to train as a Primary Teacher or study Social Sciences, Arts or Humanities, but lack the necessary entry qualifications, this course can help you get started.

This course develops your skills for further academic study. You’ll learn about a range of subjects including English, Maths, Sociology, Psychology, History, Social Policy and ICT. You’ll also undertake a Community Engagement project of your choice.

Entry Requirements

This course is designed to enable adults who have been out of education for a minimum of three years with a minimum of subjects at National 5 or a minimum of five years with Highers. You must be over 21 years of age. A place on the course is subject to an interview process.

Progression Routes

Relevant HNC, a range of degree programmes or the Primary Education course at the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde or University of the West of Scotland.
