This entry level course is intended for those interested in pursuing a career in Care and who have few or no formal qualifications. The course comprises a range of SQA accredited units at SCQF Level 4, which will provide an introduction to the skills and knowledge required to work in the Care sector. Students will complete practical activities and may have a placement in a Care setting as part of the course.

You will study: Moving and handling; First Aid; Values and standards in care work; Food hygiene.

The Core Skills of ICT, numeracy and communication will be developed and certificated on this course

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 4; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 3.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
