This course is for young people who require additional support for learning and wish to develop their skills and knowledge, to progress to an appropriate future option, which may include opportunities with other agencies, volunteering or supported/ open employment.

Learning to work with others is an important element of the course and is encouraged through projects and activities. Students will participate in work experience placements within the college and these are an excellent way of preparing for supported employment or volunteering.

You may complete the following units:

Preparation for Adulthood; Employability skills; Communication and Numeracy; Enterprise Activity; Practical Cooking Skills; Interpersonal Skills; Workplace Experience; Planning my Future; Information Technology.

Entry Requirements

National qualifications at SCQF Level 2 (from all subject areas). You must show the ability to engage and participate at the level required for this course (as evidenced at the selection day). You must also show the ability to work independently and with others.
