This course leads to a nationally recognised City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma, and will provide you with an introduction to the principles of animal nursing and care.

In this course you will cover: an introduction to general animal nursing; anatomy; assisting with anaesthesia; surgical nursing; radiograph.

In addition the course includes core skills certification and a work placement in a veterinary practice for two days a week.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 preferably including English, Maths and a science subject. You must have a minimum of 2 weeks' work experience in an animal related environment.
