Construction Futures is the overall title for the City and Guilds Certificate in Basic Construction Skills. It is a pre-apprenticeship programme that develops the underpinning knowledge for work in the building trade.

This course provides the ideal introduction to the construction industry and covers essential skills in a variety of construction trades. It is a mixture of practical and theoretical topics including:

Brickwork; Painting and decorating; Carpentry and joinery; General building; Health and safety; The Core Skills of ICT, numeracy and communication will be developed and certificated on this course.

Entry Requirements

English and Maths at National 4 or Certificate: Access to Construction or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview
