UHI Inverness is the largest college in the Highlands and Islands, and the largest of the 13 academic partners of the University of the Highlands and Islands.

The college has a new main campus in Inverness, in the Beechwood building, as well as the Scottish School of Forestry at Balloch, 7 miles from Inverness city centre. It also has a Falcon Centre based at the Aviemore Highland Resort.

The college offers more than 200 courses ranging from Access to degree and beyond, and has over 6,500 students studying at Inverness College.

Courses and subjects

Courses are available at all levels including introductory, NC, HNC, HND, degree and postgraduate. Industry and vocational qualifications are also on offer.

Subject areas taught at the college include: Business, Leisure and Tourism; Computing and IT; Creative Industries; Education and Childcare; Energy, Engineering and Construction; Health and Wellbeing; Humanities and Social Sciences; and Science and Environment.

For study abroad, Inverness has more than 50 academic partnerships in over 21 countries across Asia, Europe and North America. You can develop your personal skills and gain an international network of friends by studying for up to a year in a host country.

Facilities and services

The college has training kitchens, workshops, hair and beauty salon, digital media studios and a performing arts studio, as well as a learning centre.

The new campus has a major sports complex which includes indoor tennis, all weather pitches, studios and games halls.
