Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, formerly the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, is Scotland’s centre of vocational training in the performing arts.
The Conservatoire has two campuses. The main one is at Renfrew Street in Glasgow city centre and the second is The Wallace Studios at Speirs Locks, which lies to the north of the city centre at Garscube Road.

Undergraduate courses are available in:
Music – BMus and BEd (Music)
Drama – BA Acting, BA Hons Contemporary Performance Practice, BA/MA Musical Theatre and BA Performance in British Sign Language and English
Dance – BA Modern Ballet
Production – BA Production Arts and Design and BA Production Technology and Management
Film – BA Filmmaking.
A wide range of postgraduate opportunities are available in both music and drama.
You may be able to spend some time abroad through the European Erasmus+ Programme, or with comparable institutions in North America, Asia and Australasia or through participating in international theatre and music festivals.
Students
The Conservatoire teaches students from over 60 nations.
Each year students take part in more than 600 concerts, performances and events in each of its professional venues, as well as others UK wide and abroad.
According to HESA, 98.2% of students from the 2016/17 academic year went into employment or further study within six months of graduating.
Facilities and services
The main campus in Glasgow city centre is a modern building with outstanding facilities – including auditoria, concert halls, theatres, recording and percussion studios and rehearsal rooms. Social spaces and catering facilities are located here. The library also has one of the most comprehensive collections on performing arts in the UK.
The Wallace Studios at Speirs Locks campus features specialist dance studios, professional stage technology, and studios for technical, design, scenic art, set building and costume design.
