South Lanarkshire College is situated in the Scottish Enterprise Technology Park in East Kilbride, at a custom built state-of-the-art campus.
In addition to the wide range of learning opportunities available on campus, the college also works with community groups, voluntary organisations and other agencies to provide a variety of community based courses throughout Lanarkshire.
Courses and subjects
The levels of courses taught include NC, SVQs, HNC, HND, and more recently, degrees.
Courses are taught in a range of subject areas, including: Accounting and Business; Administration and IT; Beauty Therapy; Construction and Construction Crafts; Counselling; Early Education and Childcare; English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL); Enterprise and Employability; Events Management; Hairdressing and Make-Up Artistry; Health and Social Care; Horticulture; Hospitality and Professional Cookery; Human Resource Management; Photography; Social Science; Sport and Fitness; and Travel and Tourism.
Facilities and services
The college has a library and learning centre, cafeteria, coffee bar, shop, social areas with comfortable seating and plasma information screens, a quiet room, on campus parking and a nursery.
There is also an advice centre where students can get guidance and support in a range of areas.
Course training facilities include the Café Bistro, training restaurant and hair and beauty salons.
