General Law enables you to study many disciplines that span the subject. You have the freedom to create a bespoke programme, tailored by you to meet your academic needs. It is designed to give you maximum flexibility in your choice of modules and dissertation topic.
The programme has been structured so that you will gain an advanced and specialised education in law while having the freedom to make your own subject choices that align with your career aspirations.
The programme will help you develop your critical analysis and independent research skills that are vital to the demanding needs of the legal profession. Featuring carefully chosen course options, you will have the opportunity to study topics such as Oil and Minerals for Good, International Law, The Politics of Human Rights and Criminal Evidence and proof.
For example, you could combine an understanding of corporate and commercial law with an understanding of environmental law, or combine an understanding of international law with international criminal justice.
Normally, a 2.1 honours degree (or equivalent) in Law will be required to be accepted onto this programme. Relevant practical experience in a related field will also be beneficial.
