Using transparent media in the creation of analogous and harmonious colour blends for use in painting. Colour washes, brush techniques, using colour as a means of expression, develop the colour wheel, mixing stages, using line and tone to produce a finished artwork. Gathering material for portfolio.

1. Using a variety of techniques to experiment with this media, methods of paint application, using tools other than brushes, glaze overlays, paint mixing and plasticizers, making use of wax, oil and masking fluid. Students will work towards producing a finished piece of art work. Gathering material for portfolio.

3. Using a variety of media including collage and PVA, oil pastel, inks and dyes and offset printing. Students will produce a complete and finished work of art to a fairly high standard Gathering material for portfolio for HNC Fine Art.
