Edinburgh Campus
First Year: Level 1 combines databases, an introduction to computer systems, programming, investigations of emerging technology and technology in society, and management.
Second Year: You will cover topics in understanding of organisations, project management, interaction design, databases and human factors. You will also cover software design - both high-level architectural issues as well as algorithms and data structures.
Third Year: You will cover courses such as socio-technical systems, knowledge management, critical thinking and management of organisations, which lead to a group project.
Fourth Year: You will take advanced topics as well as a major individual project in level 4.
2023 entry requirements
Standard entry: 4 Highers at ABBB plus English and Maths at National 5.
Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BBBC plus English and Maths at National 5.
For entry to Level 2 you would require 3 Advanced Highers at BBB including Computing Science plus Highers at ABBB. You are expected to be proficient in a programming language, with Java preferred.
