First Year: Spanish Language studies (translation, spoken classes, aural comprehension, writing in Spanish); Introduction to Languages and Intercultural Studies; Modern History and Culture of Spain. Students also study a second language, and are also be able to take courses such as Psychology, Business Management, or Economics.
Second Year: Spanish Language (including Translation, Liaison and Conference Interpreting), and Spanish Society and Comparative Studies. Students can continue to study a second language or choose from subjects such as British Culture, Economics, Marketing, or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Two elective courses are also taken.
Third Year: Third year is spent abroad, either at a University attending classes relevant to your degree, or teaching English in a school.
Fourth Year: Students continue with Spanish language studies, including courses focusing on International Organisations. Students can also study Spanish for Business, Spanish Interpreting, or subjects such as Marketing, Project Management, Business Policy.
2020 entry requirements:
Standard entry: 4 Highers at AAAB (two sittings) including Spanish at A plus English at National 5.
Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BBBC (two sittings) including Spanish at B plus English at National 5.
