First Year: Students will follow introductory courses in Economics, Accounting, Finance, and Management. An introductory mathematics module is also taken. In addition, students may take an elective module from a wide range subjects including Legal Method, Information Skills, and Modern Languages.
Second Year: Students are introduced to the formal theory of economics. Intermediate Economics covers core microeconomic and macroeconomic models You also study quantitative methods, as well as two management modules from a range of options including business law, HRM, marketing, organisational behaviour, and operations management.
Third Year: Modules studied this year count towards the final degree classification. Students must complete an econometrics project, as well as taken a module in advanced economics and a management module of their choice. In addition, students select four elective modules.
Fourth Year: Students will take modules in the core subjects of Economics and Management. A required number of modules must be taken from each subject area. Students may also take modules from other disciplines with a wide range of subjects available including Company Law, Finance, Logistics, and Marketing.
2021 entry requirements:
Standard entry: 4 Highers at AAAB (two sittings) plus English and Maths at National 5.
Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BBBC (two sittings) plus English and Maths at National 5.
For entry to Level 2 you would require 2 Advanced Highers at BB plus 4 Highers at AAAB including Maths or AAAB and Maths at C.
