You’ll find out what you need to know to successfully work in the hospitality or events industry, including planning and running events, food and beverage operations, working as part of a team, providing excellent client experiences. You will have the opportunity to undertake work placement with our local industry partners.

Content:
Event industry: an overview of the various sectors in the industry, including festivals, sporting events and exhibitions; Event costing: an introduction to budgeting to run a profitable event; Event organisation: work as a team to plan and run an event; Working as part of a team; Marketing: promote hospitality and events; Food and drink operations: work in the Sheiling interacting with members of the public, staff and students; Customer care; IT.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4 including English. Interview.
