This course is for you if you are a support practitioner working within a playwork setting with children and young people, such as After School Clubs, Out of School Care and Play Schemes. You will be required to build a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your competence and understanding of playwork theory and practice.

Subjects include: Support Playwork Practice for Children and Young People; Supporting Positive Relationships in the Play Environment; Health, Safety and Wellbeing of Children and Young People in the Play Environment; Support the Work of your Team.

There will be onsite assessment and you will be required to compile a portfolio of evidence.

Entry Requirements

You should be in employment or volunteering within a playwork setting. Your current role must include providing play for children and young people; supporting health, safety and wellbeing; safeguarding children and the work of the team.
