Content

You will learn all aspects of hairdressing - cutting, colouring, styling, shampooing, hair condition, consultation techniques, reception services, product knowledge. You will also develop your ICT and data skills to prepare you for the modern salon environment. The course is a mixture of practical and theoretical, assessed through observation and online assessments. You will gather your assessment evidence in an online portfolio.

You will learn all of the initial aspects of hairdressing - styling, shampooing, hair condition, consultation techniques, reception services, product knowledge. You will also learn about sustainability, mental health, resilience, ICT and personal presentation. Cutting Skills will also be developed during the course.

Entry Requirements

Hairdressing (VTCT) Diploma Level 1, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.
