This one-year exciting course covers the skills required to enter and work in the Barbering industry.

As you work within our professional salon environment and Barbershop you will gain essential practical experience working on clients and mannequin heads working with high-end product companies such as Wella, Osmo and American Crew during practical sessions on paying clients to enhance your employability prospects further.

Content includes:

Consultation Services; Health and Safety; Shampoo, Condition and Treat the Hair and Scalp; Cut and Clipper Hair; Cut Facial Hair; Dry, Style and Finish Hair; Instruct and Advice on Products; Work Placement.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 and a work placement in the industry, or Introduction to Level 2 Hairdressing. Interview. Written task.

Progression Routes

Successful candidates will be able to move into employment within the barbering industry.
