Hospitality as a discipline is often underestimated by people who have never tried to serve others and don’t know the pleasure and satisfaction it brings. This course will ensure you are on your way to a fulfilling career within this dynamic, fast-changing and expanding industry.
In year one there is a mandatory 80 hours of work experience that can be carried out throughout the year giving you excellent on-the-job training to prepare you for your future career.
Year 1: Hospitality Front Office Procedures; Financial and Control Systems; Hospitality Management; Accounting; Hospitality Industry; Hospitality Supervision; Accommodation Servicing; Accommodation Management; Management of Human Resources; Management of Food and Beverage; Operations of Hospitality Management; Accounting Intermediate; Food Hygiene Food Production Processes; Food Service.
Year 2: Managing Financial Resources in Hospitality; Alcoholic Beverages; Hospitality Front Office Procedures 2; Hospitality Management Accounting; Hospitality: Graded Unit 2; Managing Hospitality Organisations 1; Managing Hospitality Organisations 2; Management of Human Resources in Hospitality 1; Management of Food and Beverage Operations; Hospitality Industry; Accommodation Management; Management of Human Resources in Hospitality 2.
Higher English or another English based subject plus 3 subjects at National 5 including English and Maths; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5 or 6. You will be invited to an information session and participate in group tasks.
You may choose to continue onto a degree course at university.
