Year 3:
Diet and Disease; Sports Nutrition; Public Health Nutrition; Introduction to Research; Professional Skills for Nutritionists; Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus; Nutrigenetics and Molecular Nutrition; Plant Foods, Phytochemicals and Health.

Year 4:
Nutrition Placement; Research Project; Gut Microbiome, Diet and Health; Systematic Literature
Review in Nutrition.

Placement
A 12 week, full-time placement in year 4 will give you the opportunity to use your skills and gain confidence in the workplace. You may work alongside a Nutritionist in research, the food industry, in a public health or government agency. You may choose to undertake your work experience in the United Kingdom or abroad.

Entry Requirements

2020 entry requirements:
4 Highers at BBCC including Biology or Chemistry and another science subject (may include Maths, Environmental Science or Health and Food Technology) plus English, Maths, Biology and Chemistry at National 5 at B (if not held at Higher).
