Year 3:
Electronics 3; Signal Acquisition, Instrumentation and Control; Electrical Machines and Drives 1; Embedded Systems; Project Management, Teamworking and Leadership; Elective (Data Networks or Offshore Engineering); Elective (Electrical Power and Energy Systems or Object Oriented Software Development); Group Project; Socially Responsible Management; Pre-Project Industrial Placement (double module).

Year 4:
Advanced Electronics; Control and Signal Processing; Advanced Digital System Design; Safety, Risk and Reliability Management; Advanced Data Networks or Electrical Machines and Drives 2; Power Systems Analysis and Protection or Renewable Energy Systems; Project (double module); Quality Management for Engineers; Post-Project Industrial Placement (double module).

Year 5:
(This option may not run) Principles of Asset Management; Socially Responsible
Management; Real-Time Embedded Systems; Group Project (double module); Internet Security; Advanced Signal Processing and Systems Analysis.

It is possible to complete the MEng as a fast track 4 year course.

2022 entry requirements:
4 Highers at BBBB (CCCC for widening access entry) including Maths and Engineering Science, Physics or another technological subject plus National 5 English (if not held at Higher).
