The course includes two placements in a health care setting (Care Home and NHS Lanarkshire).

Core units:
Essential skills for care professionals; Individual pathways to health and social care; Learning through practice; Personal development planning; Physiology for care professionals; Principles of professional practice; Therapeutic relationships: understanding behaviour; Safe working practice for care; Sociology for care practice; Graded unit.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including English; or Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services and Healthcare; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Pre-entry test and reference. Successful interview.
