This course offers an ideal preparation for work or entry to a higher-level software development course. Using a balance of theory and practice, you’ll learn the key concepts of software design and how to interpret programme specifications.

You'll study:
Developing Software using Visual Basic and C#; Designing Animations and Games using Java; Designing and Creating Relational Databases (SQL); Test Software Components; Core Skills (numeracy and communication); IT Productivity Packages (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations); Troubleshooting PC Systems; Developing Websites.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including English and Maths; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview.
