With the guidance of our friendly and expert staff you will build a strong folio of work that will develop and showcase your skills and creativity. Individual development and an understanding of contemporary Art & Design processes will underpin your visual art skills. The course includes life drawing, painting skills, printmaking, personal projects, research methods and contextual studies exploring the work of relevant artists/designers. This course is delivered until April in alignment with art school interviews/portfolio dates, with staff supporting learners through the UCAS application process.
Preferably English and Art and Design at National 5, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Portfolio and Interview.
It is important for applicants wishing to progress onto a degree course at university level that they check the requirements for the institution as they may have varying levels of entry requirements: usually 4 Highers including Art and English.
