Content

You will study:
General English at National 3 level; ESOL and ICT; Working with Others; Local Investigations; Numeracy; Grammar in Action; Vocabulary in Action; Introduction to Pronunciation.

This course is for learners whose first language isn’t English. The course will give you the language skills you need to communicate in a range of routine personal, social and work-based situations.

Entry Requirements

You don’t need any ESOL qualifications, but you must have the right English level for this course. We will ask you to come and do a language assessment, so we can find the most suitable level of study for you.

Progression Routes

After successfully completing this course you'll have the language skills you need to find a job requiring some use of English. Or you could develop your skills by studying another course, such as:
ESOL Intermediate (National 4), ESOL Plus Care (SCQF Level 4) or ESOL Plus Business and Finance (SCQF Level 4)
