This course is ideal if you are interested in progressing to university or developing a high level of knowledge and skills in the area of electrical and electronic engineering to make you work-ready for a career in this industry.

You will also have the opportunity to study additional advanced units in mathematics.

You will study: Electrical networks and resonance; Programmable logic controllers (PLCs); Electrical testing; Engineering Mathematics 3, 4, 5 (optional); Transmission lines; Electrical motor drive systems; Electrical installation design; Transformers; Power Electronics; Utilisation of Electrical Energy in Buildings; Graded Unit Project.

Entry Requirements

HNC Electrical Engineering. Higher Maths preferred. Interview.
