Content

This course is for those interested in a career or apprenticeship in electrical and electronic engineering. You will receive a high level of practical training and study the underpinning theories. You will achieve a double National Certificate award; one in electrical engineering and one in electronic engineering. In addition, there are two elements of electrical workshop training included in this course.

You will study: Soldering and circuit assembly techniques; Introduction to electrical wiring; Electronic theory; Electrical theory; Bench skills; Mathematics; The Core Skills of ICT, numeracy and communication will be developed and certificated on this course.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including Maths, Chemistry, Physics or a technological subject; or NC Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Level 5); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
