This new course is for those looking to work in the exciting world of petroleum discovery and recovery. It has been designed to meet industry demand for a skilled workforce to work on oil/gas production platforms. You will find out about locating, extracting and purifying the oil and gas before it is delivered to the refineries.

The course will be suitable if you are seeking employment in the industry as well as providing underpinning knowledge for the existing workforce. The course content will prepare you for a number of jobs in production and exploration such as Drilling Engineering, Mud Logging, Control Room Operator and Process Engineering Exploration.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher from Maths, Chemistry, Physics or a technological subject plus Maths at National 5; NC Mechanical Engineering; NC Engineering Systems or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
