First Year: Involves an even split between core mathematics and core physics and include topics such as Environmental Physics, Complex Analysis and Differential Equations. There will also be modules in experimental and computing techniques.

Second Year: Involves an even split between core mathematics and core physics and include topics such as Environmental Physics, Complex Analysis and Differential Equations. There will also be modules in experimental and computing techniques.

Third Year: Involves an even split between core mathematics and core physics and include topics such as Environmental Physics, Complex Analysis and Differential Equations. There will also be modules in experimental and computing techniques.

Fourth Year: Advanced level topics are introduced e.g. Optimisation, Partial Differential Equations and Quantum Mechanics. Fourth Year: includes a computer laboratory in which many of the techniques are applied to real world problems.

Entry Requirements

2020 entry requirements:
Standard entry: 4 or 5 Highers at AAAB or ABBBB including Maths or Physics at A plus English and Maths (if not held at Higher) at National 5.

Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BBBC including Maths and Physics at BB plus English at National 5.

For entry to Level 2 you would require Advanced Higher Maths and Physics at BB plus 4 or 5 Highers at AAAB or ABBBB.
