Content

1st Year: The first three years of this course have the same structure as the core of our BEng Chemical Engineering (H800) degree, allowing students to opt into or out of this particular programme.

2nd Year: The first three years of this course have the same structure as the core of our BEng Chemical Engineering (H800) degree, allowing students to opt into or out of this particular programme.

3rd Year: The first three years of this course have the same structure as the core of our BEng Chemical Engineering (H800) degree, allowing students to opt into or out of this particular programme.

4th Year: Specialist topics include Petroleum Engineering, Intensified Processing and understanding the nature of energy supply and management. These provide opportunities to study key issues affecting the use and supply of energy. A major research project is started.

5th Year (and 6th year): Together with key chemical engineering topics, further energy related topics complete the taught part of the programme. A major design project pulls together knowledge and skills gained throughout the programme.

Entry Requirements

2020 entry requirements:
Standard entry: 4 Highers at AAAB including Maths and Chemistry at AA plus English at National 5.

Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BBBC including Maths and Chemistry at BB plus English at National 5.

For entry to Level 2 you would require 3 Advanced Highers including Maths and Chemistry at AA plus 4 Highers at AAAB.
