1st Year: The first three years of this course have the same structure as the core of our BEng Chemical Engineering (H800) degree, allowing students to opt into or out of this particular programme.

2nd Year: The first three years of this course have the same structure as the core of our BEng Chemical Engineering (H800) degree, allowing students to opt into or out of this particular programme.

3rd Year: The first three years of this course have the same structure as the core of our BEng Chemical Engineering (H800) degree, allowing students to opt into or out of this particular programme.

4th Year: Key features are specialist topics dealing with the formation, development and production of oil and gas from reservoirs. These are delivered alongside advanced Chemical Engineering topics, which highlight practical issues in developing new products. A major research project is started which continues to fifth year.

5th Year: Fifth year also includes the specialist energy aspects of the programme. Alongside the major design project, there will be additional project work specifically targeted to look at technology used by the oil and gas industry in field development.

Entry Requirements

2020 entry requirements:
Standard entry: 4 Highers at AAAB including Maths and Chemistry at AA plus English at National 5.

Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BBBC including Maths and Chemistry at BB plus English at National 5.

For entry to Level 2 you would require 3 Advanced Highers including Maths and Chemistry at AA plus 4 Highers at AAAB.
