This HNC Computer Aided Draughting and Design will provide you with a sound knowledge of the technical and theoretical aspects of CADD, including 3D modelling, visualisation and rendering.

Mandatory units: Communication: practical skills; CAD 2D; CAD: 2D II; CAD: 3D modelling; CAD: user systems; CAD: principles; Design methodology; CADD: graded unit 1; CAD: visualisation, rendering and presentation; CAD: feature-based modelling 1; CAD: systems management; CAD: architectural 1.

Option unit may include: Design for manufacture.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher plus National 5 Graphic Communication at B; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. You may be required to attend an interview.
