This course provides an introduction to safety, practical woodwork, fabrication and wet trade skills required for jobs in construction.

Content:
Health, safety and welfare in construction; Manufacture of bench joinery projects; CSCS certification; One brick walling; Painting and decorating

Extra-curricular content:
Site visits; CV assistance by SDS advisors; City and Guilds Skillzone digital badges; Work experience opportunities are available for suitable candidates.

Entry Requirements

English and Maths at National 4; or Design and Manufacture at National 4; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4.

Progression Routes

Relevant NC or HNC course, or a craft apprenticeship in a construction trade.
