This course provides transferable core skills, foundation skills and workshop training for those who aspire to a career in electrical installation work. It also provides a pathway to advanced levels of study.

Content includes:
Communication Skills; Electrical Wiring Skills; Information Technology; Mathematics: Craft 1; Safe Work Practices; Electrical Principles; Fundamental Electrical Systems; Electrical Testing and Measurement; Installation of Conduit Systems; Installation of PVC Sheathed Wiring Systems; Installation of Trunking Systems; Installation of Cable Tray and MI; Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations; Earthing Systems; Employability Skills.

Entry Requirements

National 4 English, Maths and a science or technological subject, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Applicants who do not meet these criteria, but have relevant experience or alternative qualifications, will be considered. Entry by two stage interview.
