Students may study full time for 36 weeks or part time over two years, either at The NHC-Thurso or The NHC-Alness.

Your course tutor will assist you to create an individual timetable by choosing subjects at National 4, National 5 or Higher level from the range of options available in subjects such as:
Care, Childcare and development, Psychology, Practical skills for caring, Work placement to develop vocational and employability skills, You will also develop core skills in IT, numeracy and communications.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should be at least 16 years of age and have a minimum of 5 subjects at or National 4 including 1 literary subject such as English, History, Geography, Psychology, Care or the equivalent.

Mature students are welcome to apply and will be considered on an individual basis.
